2020 Presidential Election: Battle Lines

After election day had passed, a small group from our church discussed the nature of the 2020 presidential election.  It was suggested, since our primary concern may be our personal comfort and economic well-being, the 2020 presidential election rises only to a human, carnal level and not to a spiritual or eternal level.  And, for that reason, the glory of God is not the goal of the outcome we desire.

Not all agreed.  And a lively conversation ensued.

My wife and I are among those who disagreed.  Not surprised?

The 2020 presidential election and the unborn

So let me tell you why the 2020 presidential election rises above any secondary concerns.

The lives of millions of unborn and newborn children hang in the balance.  These are human beings, made in the image of God, whose eternal destiny will, in a very profound way be determined by the person who sits in the white house.  Scary, isn’t it?  (In this case, Hitler may not wear a mustache.)  And we know, any battle for the welfare of our fellow human beings becomes a spiritual matter.  How is that? you ask.  Because our adversary, who dwells in unseen spiritual realms is in fact the one who is seeking to destroy human life (John 10:10).

So.  By this, we see, the 2020 presidential election rises to a spiritual, eternal plane because the earth-realm is the playing field for a spiritual battle being fought between good and evil.  You might say the war is being “fleshed out” here.  And yet, the battle is not with flesh and blood.  But with an enemy working in the shadows through human beings (Eph. 2:2).  “Our struggle is not with flesh and blood, but with the principalities [princes, rulers], with the powers, with the world rulers of the darkness of this age, with the spiritual realms of wickedness in heavenly places” (Eph. 6:12).  And ground zero, or the theater of operations, is here.  And it is now.

But we can focus in, even closer.  The eye of the storm is centered over the 2020 presidential election.  And the enemy is ruthless!

2020 presidential election battle lines – the spiritual war

Therefore.  The spiritual warfare in and of itself raises the bar on the 2020 presidential election far above any human, personal considerations, to a spiritual, eternal level.  And the glory of God steps to front center stage.  For, obviously, His glory is on the line.

I think there are probably very few of us who understand the magnitude of the battle being fought.  It is something much bigger than we might imagine.  “The Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire” (II Kgs. 6:17).

And it is global.  It has an impact on the physical and spiritual welfare of all human life.  Not just the unborn.  “Then he said to me, Fear not, Daniel.  For from the first day you set your heart to understand and to chasten yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come for your words.  But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; but Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me.  And I remained there with the kings of Persia [fighting]. . .and now I will return to fight with the prince of Persia.  And when I have gone forth, the prince of Grecia will come.  But I will show you that which is noted in the Scripture of truth [affecting the future of God’s people]: and there is none that holds with me in these things, but Michael your prince” (Dan. 10:12,13,20,21).

The glory of God.  The glory of Christ.

So.  Make no mistake.  The glory of God and Christ is at the heart of every spiritual conflict.

Jesus said, “All authority is given to me in heaven and on earth” (Matt. 28:18; Dan. 7:13,14).  Not surprisingly.  We see His authority immediately challenged by the powers of darkness who draw swords in heaven when Jesus ascends to the right hand of God.  “And she brought forth a son, a man child [Matt. 1:21; Luke 2:11; John 1:14]. . .and her child was caught up to God, and to His throne. . .  And there was war in heaven; Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought and prevailed not; neither was a place found for them anymore in heaven [see Job 1:6-12 and Rev. 12:10].  [Then] the great dragon was cast out [John 12:28,31], the ancient serpent called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the entire inhabited earth: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him” (Rev. 12: 5,7-8).

Therefore.  According to His Word.  Jesus now holds the highest place in the heavens as Head of all rule and authority (Col. 2:10).  Angels and authorities and powers are subject to Him (I Pet. 3:22).  It is His hand that lifts up the head of the downcast and rules over the kingdoms of men (Ps. 110).

Religious freedom and the 2020 presidential election

Our religious freedom also raises the bar on the spiritual importance of the 2020 presidential election.

It is true.  And also quite obvious.  Not all people in the world have religious freedom.  Yet we know God is sovereign over even that.  Moreover.  Their faith tends to be more real to them than the faith of many American Christians.  So not having religious freedom can have a positive effect.  But those who live, or once lived under communist, socialist, or other repressive regimes understand what it means to be free.  We sometimes forget.  Because of this, many of those who live in countries that do not allow freedom of religion or freedom of expression would gladly trade what they have for what we have.  And many have fled to free countries for their own safety.

We have become accustomed to our freedom.  In fact.  Some groups in America destroy freedom because they are free to do it.  But what good is that?  They are like the “vacuum cleaner beast” in Yellow Submarine that devours itself.

So, what does it mean to be free to practice your faith?

Recently someone in Bangladesh threw a bomb through an open window while a young Christian woman and her five-year-old daughter were sleeping.  They both died of their injuries a short time later.  The woman’s husband, who was at work when this happened, is in deep mourning, feeling hopeless.  And he is deeply depressed.  Who would not be?  His family were the only known Christians in that area.

Unfortunately.  There are similar rumblings here.  A little girl in Mississippi was forced by school officials to remove a face mask because it said, “Jesus loves me.”  Yet all her classmates could wear their masks.

Religious freedom.  It may not seem like much to us.

Forefathers and battlefields

Our forefathers, and multitudes of our brothers and sisters in arms, have fought and died so we could be free.  Scan the battlefield in Gettysburg Pennsylvania, among countless others in our world.  Breathe the air.  Listen to the breeze slide past rocky knolls and roll through the trees.  There you will find the cost of our freedom of worship and the other freedoms we enjoy.  They are clearly stated in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution they gave their lives to defend.

The pilgrims, among the very first Europeans to find a home here, sailed to this shore so they could be free to practice their Christian faith.  They weren’t perfect by any means.  But neither are you, my friend.  And despite all the talk about whether or not America was founded as a Christian nation, that was, in fact, what the pilgrims had in mind.

A look in the mirror

I speak now to my Christian brothers and sisters.

Sadly.  We can be thankful, those who faced the challenge of the American Revolution were not like us.  We don’t mind enjoying the freedoms our forefathers and those who shed their blood on battlefields have procured for us.  But we seem disinclined to defend those freedoms at a time not that much different than the American Revolution and the Civil War.  Likewise, we don’t mind enjoying the good things President Trump has done for our country and the unborn and our brothers and sisters who are persecuted for their faith in other countries.  And yet.  Too many Christians are hesitant to stand with him when times are rough and his political “fortunes” seem to have taken flight like a flock of geese into the sun, and he needs our support and prayers.  But then.  Faithfulness is not something we are known for in America today.  To say nothing of courage.

By contrast, Dietrich Bonhoeffer faced the dark clouds crawling over Germany and paid with his life for his resistance to that darkness.

Gathering communist-socialist clouds and the 2020 presidential election

No doubt.  Not all American Christians lack faithfulness and courage.  But there are too many who do not reflect the description given in Revelation 17:14.  “The Lamb will overcome [His enemies] because He is Lord of lords and King of kings and those who are with Him are called and chosen and faithful.”

We need to be awake and watching.  There are communist-socialist clouds crawling over America.

Thankfully.  There are many in America who still possess our historic patriotic spirit and courage.  And many of us are still praying.  God can yet help our president even now, at this late hour, and save us from election fraud, and keep us from becoming a socialist wasteland.

A sad reality

But we all face a sad reality.  Don’t we?  We have already lost free speech.  At least as far as Twitter and Facebook and other social media are concerned.  It makes you wonder.  Can two or three people in America tell everyone else what to say and think?  I guess they can.  So long as they’re holding the money box (John 12:3-6).  Or know someone who is.  And, as long as they’ve got the Antifa/BLM/press SS to cover for them.

Perhaps you noticed the correction made in the election fraud link above.  I don’t remember seeing that when I read the article the first time.  Probably because it wasn’t there.  But it is common today for thought police to patrol published material for unsubstantiated claims.  In this case, someone removed point 3 from the text.  Naughty, naughty! Mr. Shurk, a proud American from Daniel Boone country, for quoting a citation of two men’s claims “vote analysis shows is inaccurate.”  (Now you can’t even count: you skip from 2 to 4.)  You bad boy.  You must not step out of line like this again.  Next time, make sure your facts are right.

Toes to the line, everyone.

Sometimes lines and corrections are legitimate.  But sometimes they’re not.

Censored

Speech and the free flow of information is being censored in America.  And the mainstream media is complicit.  It is just another Pravda.  No surprise there.

So, why are they doing this?

They are doing this to suppress or bury anything that supports the legitimacy of voter fraud claims.  But why would they do that?  To prevent Donald Trump from becoming our president for the next four years.  Even the FBI and the courts are involved in this.  The swamp is consuming more and more land.

And so.  It is not surprising: in many places in America, people are not even aware of what is going on.

Have we forgotten the admonition in Ephesians 5:11, not to participate with works of darkness, but to expose them?  I encourage you in love, my brothers and sisters in Christ.  Be brave.  And be a light in the darkness.  As your Savior is.

Robbed

If Joe Biden does actually win the 2020 presidential election, we will have most likely been robbed and disenfranchised (this video was removed from the internet).  We will have experienced a coup and become just another third-world country.  And America as we know it will be lost.  But we can’t say we weren’t warned.

So why the uncertainty and the denials about election fraud?  In the last link in the paragraph above, Joe Biden cleared up all that with a simple, straight-forward admission.  This is one time he was probably not lying.

But I’m only getting started.  I also have other questions.

Other questions

How can anyone see a thousand affidavits pointing out specific allegations of election fraud as “no evidence,” “no credible evidence,” or “no proof”?  That’s like saying “What train?” while the Union Pacific rolls past your window.  All one hundred and nine cars.  Those who signed affidavits may not always look or sound credible to the media.  Especially Trump haters.  But they have affirmed the truthfulness of their testimonies under penalty of perjury and are putting their lives on the line when they step forward to testify.  Maybe they’re trying to tell us something.  But we’re not listening.  It says a lot just to lay your neck on the block.  Because if you’re lying, it won’t be long before your tongue rolls with your head.  So to speak.

But what concerns me as much as anything.  The media displays an almost pathological hatred toward these witnesses.  Okay.  We got the message already.  They’re “not credible.”  But why are they being maliciously destroyed?  Why smear them like a mosquito across your windshield?

Maybe they do have something to say.  And someone else has something to hide.

Lou Dobbs Tonight, Dec. 12, 2020: Hunter Biden and China, Sidney Powell, fraud in Michigan, and the FBI’s strange treatment of a USPS witness to election fraud referred to in the link above.  This link is also blocked.  So.  This is what it’s like to live in a communist country.  My wife and I were in China, Vietnam, and Laos.  We know from personal experience what it’s like. This is not America!  Not the land men and women shed their blood for.  Not the home we love.

And it makes you wonder why anyone would feel a need to ban “baseless claims” of voter fraud.  After all.  A person would look pretty silly, don’t you think, if they were banning “Flat Earth Society” videos on YouTube?

But be aware.  There is so much more I could share!  This whole page could have been links.  And people would still be saying, What evidence?  We are probably only looking at the tip of the iceberg.

And, as usual.  It shouldn’t surprise us.  Beneath online videos related to election fraud, the thought police are leaving disclaimers.  “Robust safeguards help ensure the integrity of elections and results.  Learn more.”  And, “The AP has called the Presidential race for Joe Biden.  See more on Google.”  Not only that.  They will tout anything that supports their objective and destroys “baseless claims” of election fraud.  Like, “AG Barr said earlier Tuesday DOJ had found no evidence of widespread voter fraud.”  Would they even care who AG Barr is or tell anyone what he said if he had said something to the contrary?  He would have slipped quietly from their universe.  Maybe never to be seen again.  Like a dime you drop in a sidewalk grate.

Why beat around the bush?  Call it what it is.  This is damage control.  An offhanded way to dismiss clear evidence of fraud.  And, most importantly.  It is a way to help us think properly.  And ignore the evidence.  For, under these circumstances, inquiring minds are not helpful.  There must be absolute devotion to the Party line.  That means, close your eyes and keep walking.

Marching to the tune of a different whistle

But, what can I say?  I guess we live in interesting times.  I borrowed that line from one of the Kennedys.  And yet.  I think strange would be a better word to describe our times.

Around a year ago, the evidence for Russian collusion in the impeachment trial of President Trump was based on ONE ANONYMOUS whistleblower whose identity is still uncertain.  But now that we have multiple whistleblowers who are eyewitnesses to election fraud coming forward and signing affidavits at the risk of their lives, their accounts are dismissed as unfounded and baseless claims.  Does something smell fishy?  No.  It’s more like a fish market on a hot summer day in La Penita Mexico.  Because this time, actual whistleblowers you can name and talk to are simply ignored.

In fact.  Lin Wood recently claimed there are tens of thousands  (YouTube also blocked this video) of affidavits.  It’s hard to imagine.  But true.  If it were not, YouTube would not have removed this video.  And these are all witnesses to election fraud.  And, you know what?  As I indicated earlier.  They are being threatened because they’re speaking out!  They are in fear for their lives!  But why?  How can this be?  If the things they are saying are only baseless claims, there would be no reason for that.  There is nothing to hide if there is no basis for the claims.  Is there?  Then, why the rage against witnesses to election fraud?  What in a baseless claim is in danger of being found out?  A strange question for strange times.  What are the enemies of President Trump trying to hide?

I think we can figure out the answer to that.  And we don’t need to be in a fish market to smell this fish.

The 2020 presidential election and hope

But there is hope.

Please help our country retain its freedom, Father, as it is pleasing in your eyes and the eyes of your Son who holds all authority in heaven and on earth.  Our hope is in you.  And there is nothing impossible for you.

We ask for the truth to be victorious and to expose the lies and deceit for all to see.

We will win the battle.  “Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them” (II Kgs. 6:16; I John 4:4).  Take courage.  Our lives, our country, and our president (this video of President Trump giving a message about Jesus in the White House at Christmas was also removed by YouTube) are in Jesus’ hands.  And you know what?  We’re in good hands.

In closing.  Here is a message for us from a brother in Galilee.

“Rise up, O men of God!  Have done with lesser things.  Give heart and soul and mind and strength to serve the King of kings.”
